Attention: The auction is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated — you will receive an email shortly.

Decorate your home, office or cottage with a piece of Lake Winnipeg! Part of our summer 2020 fundraising campaign, our online art auction is your chance to bid on a variety of works made by local artists inspired by our great lake and its natural surroundings.

Featuring a mix of mediums and styles and a range of market values, our online art auction truly has something for everyone. A big thank you to all the talented artists and makers who donated pieces – we're thrilled to be able to offer such wonderful artwork in support of a healthy Lake Winnipeg.

For art auction updates, make sure to mark yourself as interested or going on our Facebook event!

VISIT

Head to the LWF art auction site between July 13 and 11:59 p.m. on August 7, 2020.

BID

Place a bid. Only the highest bidder wins and pays for the prize. No need to choose a favourite – you can bid on as many pieces as you’d like, as many times as you’d like!

WIN

Keep your eye on the prize (and the bids!) by checking the site often. Winners will automatically receive an email from the auction site.

The fine print

Payments can be made automatically through the auction site using a PayPal account. LWF staff can also coordinate payments via cheque or credit card.

LWF can issue charitable receipts for a portion of each winning bid, provided the bid amount meets Canada Revenue Agency’s “intention to make a gift” threshold of 125 per cent of the fair market value of the piece.

Please note: Due to size and fragility, we are not offering shipping. All winners must be able to pick up their pieces from LWF’s Winnipeg office. Pieces must be paid for and picked up by September 11, 2020 or they will go to the next highest bidder.

Good luck to everyone – and happy bidding!

Here’s a sneak peek of some of the pieces available:

A framed photograph of a rainbow over a Lake Winnipeg beach

A map of Victoria Beach made out of laser cut wood.

A framed watercolour glicee depicting a Lake Winnipeg pier
